The Pennsylvania State Police Rodeo had its early beginning in
1921 as an intra-troop field competition, which later gave way to what became know as the "Rodeo".
The "Rodeo" toured the state giving free field
exhibitions to thousands of Pennsylvania citizens,
but by August 1974, the Rodeo was disbanded due to state budget constraints.
Throughout the years, many troopers
participated in the Rodeo. Weary Willie and his clown car was a hit with Pennsylvanians. His original
outfit along with other Rodeo memorabilia are now on exhibit.
