In December 2007, Congressman Tim Holden from Pennsylvania’s 17th District, presented the Pennsylvania State Police Historical Educational and Memorial Center with a check for $146,000.00 from the Department of Education. Congressman Holden, a long-time supporter of the PSP-HEMC, had been working on getting the funding released for the PSP-HEMC since early 2005. The money donated will be used for day-to-day operation expenses at the PSP-HEMC including but not limited to traveling and educational exhibits, collections care, public relations, salaries, and office expenses. The Board of Directors at the PSP-HEMC are grateful to Congressmen Holden for his generous donation of time and effort on the Museum’s behalf.
