Regulation Uniform

The uniform of the Motor Police consisted of: blouse, English cut breeches with 1-inch black mohair braid   running down each outer seam, shoes and puttees, .38 caliber Colt side arm, and ornaments.

The color was that of the old Highway Patrol uniform.
 
The campaign hat of the former State Police was worn, except for motorcycle duty.
  
Swivel type holster adopted in 1937 and used till 1980.

The uniform patch above was worn on the left shoulder of the uniform; issued from 1938 to 1943.
