1906 Pennsylvania State Police Uniform

The first uniforms were issued in early 1906
The men were issued two
uniforms, a summer and winter outfit, consisting of a military tunic and riding trousers of a very darkgray whip cord, black pigskin puttees, black shoes, nickel strap spurs, reinforced black helmet with black leather chin strap and black horsehide guantlets.
 
Helmet Badge used; 1906 to 1935
The collar numbers and letter, indicated the trooper's home troop and identification number.
In the summer they wore buckskin gloves, and in winter woolen ones.
