State Police Historical, Educational & Memorial Center Addition |

PSP-HEMC EXPANDS On
Friday, April 17, 2015, the ground breaking ceremony took place at The Pennsylvania State
Police Historical, Educational and Memorial Center (HEMC), which is adjacent to the
Pennsylvania State Police Academy. The new 6,000 sq. ft. addition will provide a modern
learning and educational facility, as well as a display for numerous artifacts of the
history of the Pennsylvania State Police.
This will increase the existing facility by 350 percent. The addition provides for
a donor-funded chapel, more exhibit area, a vehicle display, and a multi-purpose room for
senior citizen education (e.g. personal firearm safety, scams, identity theft, safe
driving) and youth education (respect for law enforcement, careers in law enforcement,
changing public climates), and public use for meeting space rental.
The long awaited Memorial Bricks will be included in the planned expansion project.

| The expansion was triggered by a
$160,000 grant from the Dauphin County Commissioners. Funds are provided by the gaming
industry in Pennsylvania, and the additional interior build out will be pursued by a
special appeal to you, the active and retired members of PSP, and through additional
fundraising methods. |

you make a tax deductible donation of $5 a month for up to
four years? The Fundraising Committee is currently working with PNC bank to set
up a process that enables regular monthly contributions by credit card debits,
auto checking account debits, and similar methods of payment made over time.
