In 1905, the Great Anthracite Coal Strike threatened public safety in Pennsylvania. An organized force was needed to provide the service of protecting our citizens; hence the creation of the Department of State Police, the first organization of it's kind in the country and one after which many other police agencies were modeled.

MUSEUM EXPANSION

 

The PSP-HEMC is adding a 6,000-square foot, two-story addition to the Museum, which will increase the existing facility by 350 percent. The expansion is being triggered by a $160,000 grant from the Dauphin County Commissioners. Funds are provided by the gaming industry in Pennsylvania. Read more

Please join us for a memorable weekend of celebration. There will be plenty of opportunity to visit with old and new friends. Come share your experiences and memories, and revisit the past 110 years of the Pennsylvania State Police.
  

MEMORIAL SERVICE – STATE POLICE ACADEMY
On Friday, May 1, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., a Memorial Service will be held at the State Police Academy to honor the memory of those members who over the years have made the ultimate sacrifice by laying down their lives in the performance of duty. All PSP personnel, active or retired, HEMC Members and all their guests are invited to join in remembering our fallen comrades and to ensure that their memory will never be forgotten.



RECEPTION (240 participants only)

When: Friday, May 1, 2015
 
Time: 7p.m. to 9 p.m. Hors D’oeuvres and cash bar

Where: Hershey Lodge, Hershey, PA

Cost: $20 per person

Begin the celebration by joining us at a reception hosted by the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association.
Reminisce with friends about what the State Police was really like, relax, and prepare yourself for an event-filled weekend to commemorate the 110th Anniversary of the first and finest Pennsylvania State Police.
  

SATURDAY EVENING BANQUET

When: Saturday, May 2, 2015

Time: 6:00 p.m.  Cocktail Reception, Cash Bar
 
          7:00 p.m. Introductions followed by Dinner and
            Guest Speaker Lt. Col. Oliver North, USMC, Ret.
     

            Followed by Light Entertainment

Where: Hershey Lodge,  Hershey, PA
 
Cost: $70 per person
     


A total of 500 tickets are available for the Saturday Evening Banquet. Due to limited seating ticket purchases are available only to HEMC Members or PSP Active or Retired Personnel
and their guests.

 

Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. All registrations are to be mailed and postmarked on or after January 2, 2015. No registrations will be accepted prior to this date. Registrations received prior to January 2, 2015, will be returned to sender.
Group seating will be accepted. Groups may be seated up to a maximum of 10 per table. Should you desire group seating, a registration form must be completed for each party and sent in as a group to ensure your request is honored.
 
Tickets may be purchased up to and including April 15, 2015, provided tickets are available. Should Banquet tickets be sold out prior to April 15, 2015, registration forms and checks will be returned immediately to the sender; however, a waiting list will be created. Interested parties will be contacted if tickets become available.
 
Special room rates at $169.00 per night are available at the Hershey Lodge. When making a reservation make sure to mention the PSP 110th special rate. Early hotel reservations do not guarantee seating at the Saturday evening Banquet. Please submit your Banquet registration as soon as possible on or after January 2, 2015.
 
REGISTRATION FORM INFORMATION
Your cancelled check will serve as your confirmation to the events listed on the registration form. Tickets for the Reception and/or Banquet will not be mailed to the registrants. On Friday, May 1, a PSP Registration Desk will open at 6:30 p.m. for check in. On Saturday, May 2nd it will open at 4:00 p.m. at the entrance of the Convention Center Lobby. All Registrants may pick up their program and table number anytime after 4 pm. The registration desk will remain open for the duration of the Saturday evening Banquet.
